Dr. Jay Mulaney is a board-certified ophthalmologist and president of Central Florida Eye Associates in Lakeland. Specializing in eye surgery, Dr. Mulaney treats patients with cataracts, glaucoma and other vision problems. Dr. Mulaney previously served as president of the medical staff at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center and as president of the Polk County Medical Association. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lakeland Regional Health. He has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” and has been included in America’s Top Ophthalmologists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. He has published a number of articles in medical and scientific journals and has written a chapter in an ophthalmology textbook. He also served as clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Mulaney completed an internship in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. He did a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Florida.
