Dr. Shawn Chhabra is board certified in ophthalmology at Watson Clinic. His subspecialties are anterior segment surgery, corneal transplants and LASIK surgery. He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology and the Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society. He earned a medical degree at Boston University in Massachusetts. He completed an internship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital followed by a residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He also completed a fellowship in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, which is ranked No. 1 by U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals in Ophthalmology.”
