Dr. Joffre Rivera, of Watson Clinic and Lakeland Regional Health, is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He practices general gastroenterology with an interest in pancreatic and biliary diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, colon screening, treatment and evaluation of Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Rivera is an active member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association and Pan-American Medical Association. He graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico and completed training in gastroenterology and internal medicine at the University of South Florida. Dr. Rivera trained in the field of endoscopic ultrasonography at the Moffitt Cancer Center during a fellowship in gastroenterology. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
